QANTAS B747-400ER VH-OEG QF17 Santiago De Chile Diversion.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEG operating QF17 Sydney – Buenos Aires diverted to Santiago de Chile due to airspace restrictions around Buenos Aires due to ash. Crew then went out of hours in Santiago de Chile so the flight will be on the ground for 24 hours before continuing on to Buenos Aires tomorrow.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VZP Delivered.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VZP began its delivery flight today as QF6024 routing Boeing Field – Honolulu (overnight) – Nadi – Melbourne.  The aircraft is in QANTAS New ‘Roo livery and 12J/156Y configuration with Silverwing seats in Business Class and Panasonic AVOD throughout. This brings the QANTAS Mainline Boeing 737-800 fleet up to 42 aircraft and the QANTAS Group Boeing 737-800 fleet up to 49 aircraft.

QANTAS B747-400 VH-OJL Returns from Johannesburg.

Following its technical return to Perth and the delivery of a new engine yesterday, QANTAS  Boeing 747-438 VH-OJL departed Johannesburg tonight position to Sydney as QF6020 with the failed engine in the V-Pod position.

QANTAS B747-400 VH-OJN QF63 V-Pod Operation.

Following the technical return of QF64 to Johannesburg on 15th July, Boeing 747-438 VH-OJN operating QF63 Sydney – Johannesburg was operated as Sydney – Perth – Johannesburg today  carrying a fifth engine on the V-Pod.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEF operating QF8 Dallas-Fort Worth – Brisbane (depart Dallas-Fort Worth 16th July) diverted via  Auckland this morning. This routing was planned before departure from Dallas-Fort Worth due to headwinds en route and the availability of Auckland as a crew base.

QANTAS B747-400ER VH-OEH QF18 Tahiti Diversion.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEH operating QF18 Buenos Aires – Sydney was delayed and operated via Tahiti today meaning arrival in Sydney on Wednesday 13th rather than Tuesday 12th July. There are lingering ash issues on the South Pacific track.

Withdrawn QANTAS B767-300ER VH-OGB Leaves Australia.

Withdrawn QANTAS Boeing 767-338ER VH-OGB, wearing new registration N362CM, departed Sydney for Male, Maldives and Tel Aviv as Air Transport International flight ATN103. The aircraft will undergo freighter conversion in Tel Aviv.

QANTAS B747-400 VH-OJO Revealed in Wallabies Livery.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438 VH-OJO which has been at the Sydney JetBase since 28th June was unveiled today with green and gold decals fitted supporting the Wallabies in the upcoming Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. The decals cover most of the length of the fuselage which has had the normal QANTAS and Spirit of Australia titles removed. The kangaroo on the tail is also now carrying a green and gold rugby ball.
