Following the technical issue it encountered on 14th July, QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE positioned Darwin – Alice Springs as QF6200 this morning, then continued Alice Springs – Melbourne as QF6201 where it entered the Melbourne maintenance facility.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE overnighted at Darwin after arriving as QF1938 from Perth and Alice Springs, however it was unable to depart as QF1937 to Alice Springs and Perth this morning due to a technical issue.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE QF1948 Karratha Diversion.

QANTASLink Boeing 737-23S VH-NXE operating QF1948 Perth – Solomon diverted via Karratha this morning. The aircraft then returned Solomon – Perth still using callsign QF1948. QF1949 Solomon – Perth was cancelled.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Positioning Flight.

Following the earlier Boeing 717-200 technical issue at Solomon, QANTASLink Boeing 737-23S VH-NXE positioned Perth – Solomon as QF6200 this morning then continued on to Christmas Creek where it operated a Christmas Creek – Perth service as QF1975.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE positioned Sydney – Brisbane as QF6201 this morning in order to operate the QF1724/QF1725 Brisbane – Hamilton Island rotation. The aircraft then positioned Brisbane – Sydney as QF6202.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Positioning Flights.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE positioned Sydney – Melbourne as QF6200 late this morning in order to operate the QF1511/QF1512 Melbourne – Hobart rotation. The aircraft then positioned Melbourne – Sydney as QF6201.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Positioning Flight.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE positioned Sydney – Melbourne as QF6200 this morning after arriving as QF1579 from Maroochydore. The aircraft then operated QF1507 Melbourne – Hobart.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Positioning Flight.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE, which spent most of yesterday out of service at Sydney, positioned Sydney – Canberra as QF6200 late this morning then returned to service this afternoon operating QF1520 Canberra – Sydney.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE QF1576 Sydney Technical Return.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE operating QF1576 Sydney – Hervey Bay stopped the climb at 14,000 ft this afternoon due to a technical issue, descended to 12,000 ft to circle and work checklists and then returned to Sydney for a safe landing. The flight, and the return QF1577 were subsequently cancelled.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Western Australia Triangle.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE operated QF1800 Perth – Paraburdoo this morning, then positioned Paraburdoo – Broome as QF6200 in order to operate QF1925 Broome – Perth. QF1801 Paraburdoo – Perth and QF1926 Perth – Broome were cancelled.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Paraburdoo Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier B717-200 technical issue at Paraburdoo, QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE positioned Perth – Paraburdoo this evening as QF6200 in order to operate the delayed QF1809 Paraburdoo – Perth.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE Mackay Technical Issue.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE operated QF1760 Brisbane – Mackay this morning, however it was unable to operate the return QF1761 due to a technical issue. The later QF1768/QF1769 Brisbane – Mackay rotation was also cancelled. The aircraft was able to position Mackay – Brisbane later as QF6200.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXE QF1820 Perth Technical Return.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-23S VH-NXE suffered a fan blade failure to the left hand engine on take off from Perth whilst operating QF1820 Perth – Newman. The aircraft was able to return immediately to Perth for a safe landing around 15 minutes after departure
