QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB operated the QF141/QF144 Sydney – Auckland rotation this morning in place of the usual Boeing 737-800. The aircraft then positioned Sydney – Brisbane as QF6015 late this afternoon in order to operate the delayed QF15 Brisbane – Los Angeles as QF15D.

QANTAS B747-400 VH-OEB Returns from Sydney Maintenance.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB, which has been under maintenance at Sydney since 22nd April, returned to service this afternoon operating QF27 Sydney – Santiago de Chile. The First Class cabin, normally used as a Business Class cabin for high tier frequent flyers, has had its seats refreshed in charcoal grey and black.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB operated QF11 Sydney – Los Angeles today in place of the scheduled A380. The aircraft then turned around to operate QF96 Los Angeles – Melbourne, marking a very rare appearance of a non-ER Boeing 747-400 on this route.

Following the technical diversion of QF2 London Heathrow – Dubai – Sydney to Perth in the early hours of this morning, QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB positioned Sydney – Perth as QF6001 early this afternoon in order to continue the diverted flight, operating Perth – Sydney as QF2.

QANTAS B747-400 VH-OEB Departs on Captain’s Choice RTW Tour.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB departed Sydney for a 21 day Captain’s Choice round the world tour today, initially routing Sydney – Colombo as QF6034. The complete route is Sydney – Colombo – Baku – Tel Aviv – Marrakech – Azores – Antigua – San Francisco – Sydney.

Following yesterday’s diversion via Durban, QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB departed Johannesburg early this afternoon operating yesterday’s delayed QF64 Johannesburg – Sydney as QF64D.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB operating QF63 Sydney – Johannesburg diverted to Durban this evening. The aircraft departed Durban after midnight and the return QF64 has therefore been delayed overnight.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB returned to service this afternoon operating QF51 Brisbane – Singapore. This was the aircraft’s first service in 14F/52J/32W/255Y configuration.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB, which has been under maintenance at Avalon since 4th July, positioned Avalon – Brisbane this afternoon as QF6196. We can confirm that the aircraft has been reconfigured to 14F/52J/32W/255Y. It has also lost its Formula 1 decals.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB was unveiled at Sydney today with new decals advertising the Australia 2011 Grand Prix. These are in the same position as the “Come Play” decals for the Australian World Cup bid.

QANTAS Boeing 747-48E VH-OEB was delivered Seoul – Sydney today. The aircraft becomes the 19th B747-400 in the QANTAS fleet.
