QANTAS A380 VH-OQF, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 23rd March, positioned Dubai – Sydney this morning as QF6012. The aircraft has been repainted from QANTAS New Roo (2006) into QANTAS Silver Roo (2017) livery and is the first A380 to wear this scheme.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operating QF7 Sydney – Dallas-Fort Worth diverted to Houston this afternoon due to weather at Dallas-Fort Worth. Passengers were kept on board for around three hours then disembarked and continued to Dallas-Fort Worth by road. The aircraft was able to continue Houston – Dallas-Fort Worth shortly after midnight.

The aircraft then encountered a technical issue meaning crew timed out before they could depart for Sydney. Passengers were transferred to an additional A330-200 Brisbane – Syney sector. A new crew flew VH-OQF Brisbane – Sydney empty during the afternoon.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF, which was damaged whilst under maintenance at Sydney on April 14th/15th, undertook a Sydney – Sydney test flight this afternoon as QF6001.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF entered the Sydney maintenance facility yesterday after arriving as QF8 from Dallas-Fort Worth. At some point yesterday or this morning the aircraft sustained damage to the horizontal stabiliser and is now out of service pending repair.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operating QF8 Dallas-Fort Worth – Sydney (depart Dallas-Fort Worth 28th February) diverted to Brisbane this morning. The diversion was decided upon either before departure from Dallas-Fort Worth after the aircraft was delayed by a steering issue. Crew has sufficient hours to reach Brisbane but not to reach Sydney. Passengers were dispersed onto Domestic services and the aircraft positioned Brisbane – Sydney as QF6001 with a new crew.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF, which has been undergoing unscheduled maintenance at Sydney since arriving as QF8 from Dallas-Fort Worth on 30th December 2014, returned to service this afternoon operating QF7 Sydney – Dallas-Fort Worth.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF was delivered Toulouse – Singapore – Sydney today as QF6028. The aircraft was delivered in QANTAS New  Roo livery and 14F/72J/32W/332Y configuration and is named “Charles Kingsford Smith”. This brings the QANTAS A380 fleet up to six aircraft.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQC Operates Delayed QF1.

Following the return of QANTAS A380 VH-OQF to Sydney yesterday whilst operating QF1 Sydney – Singapore – London Heathrow, the flight operated this morning as QF1D operated by sister VH-OQC.
