QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI arrived into Melbourne this morning as QF80 from Tokyo Narita (depart Tokyo 27th June), however it was unable to operate QF29 Melbourne – Hong Kong as scheduled due to a technical issue.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operating QF117 Sydney – Hong Kong diverted via Manila this afternoon due to long weather based hold times at Hong Kong. This was the only flight to divert.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Returns from Singapore Maintenance.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI, which has been under maintenance at Singapore since 14th November, positioned Singapore – Brisbane late tonight as QF6012. The aircraft has been repainted from QANTAS 1984 into QANTAS Silveroo (2016) livery and has thus skipped the 2007 New ‘Roo scheme.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operated QF81 Sydney – Singapore this morning then entered the Singapore maintenance facility for repaint. Thus today’s QF81 was the last service operated by a QANTAS A330-300 in 1984 livery.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Returns from Shanghai.

Following its technical return on 15th September, QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPD departed Shanghai Pudong this morning operating the delayed QF130 Shanghai Pudong – Sydney of 15th September as QF130D.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI QF130 Shanghai Technical Return.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operating QF130 Shanghai Pudong – Sydney stopped the climb at 6,000 ft this evening due to a hydraulic issue. The aircraft circled to work checklists and burn fuel for almost two hours before returning to Shanghai Pudong for a safe landing. However we have received reports that the aircraft sustained damage to the gear doors.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Adelaide and Darwin Diversions.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operating QF130 Shanghai Pudong – Sydney (depart Shanghai Pudong 17th July) diverted via Adelaide this morning due to weather at Sydney. The aircraft then operated QF19 Sydney – Manila but this diverted via Darwin.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Returns from Shanghai.

Following its overnight crew delay, QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI departed Shanghai Pudong this morning operating yesterday’s delayed QF130 Shanghai Pudong – Sydney as QF130D.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operated today’s QF129 Sydney – Shanghai Pudong, however due to the late arrival of yesterday’s QF129 there is no rested crew available to operate the return QF130, the aircraft will therefore overnight at Shanghai.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Returns from Brisbane Maintenance.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI, which has been under maintenance at Brisbane since July 7th, returned to service this morning operating QF61 Brisbane – Tokyo Narita. The aircraft has been reconfigured to 28J/269Y with Flat Beds in Business Class and Panasonic IFE.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Operates Extended QF41.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operated an extended QF41 Sydney – Jakarta today routing Sydney – Jakarta – Singapore. The aircraft then operated QF6 Singapore – Sydney. There was no QF5 Sydney – Singapore or QF42 Jakarta – Sydney scheduled today.

Following its technical return to Hong Kong last night, QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI departed Hong Kong early this evening operating yesterday’s delayed QF98 Hong Kong – Brisbane as QF98D.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Positioning Flight.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI positioned Sydney – Melbourne as QF6019 this morning in order to operate the delayed QF35 Melbourne – Singapore. This was to cover for the non-arrival of QF30 from Hong Kong into Melbourne this morning.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Operates Honolulu Rotation.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI operated the QF3/QF4 Sydney – Honolulu rotation today in place of the usual B767-300ER. This was a planned substitution with an A330-300 crew having already positioned to Honolulu to operate the return sector.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI Delivered.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPI was delivered Toulouse – Cairns today as QF6008. The aircraft is named “Cairns”, wears 1984 livery and is in 30J/267Y configuration. This brings the QANTAS A330-300 fleet up to nine aircraft.
