QANTASLink Boeing 717-2BL VH-YQV, which was under maintenance at Seletar from 5th July – 4th August, returned to service this afternoon operating QF1545 Brisbane – Canberra. This was the aircraft’s first passenger service since 28th March.

Network Aviation F100 VH-NHN West Angelas Rescue Mission.

Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NHN operated the Karratha – Solomon sector of QF1671 Karratha – Solomon – Perth this morning, however following the Fokker 100 technical issue at West Angelas the onward sector to Perth was cancelled and the aircraft instead positioned Solomon – West Angelas as QF6681 in order to operate the delayed QF2911 West Angelas – Perth.

Withdrawn QANTAS B747-400ER VH-OEJ Positions to Mojave.

Withdrawn QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEJ Los Angeles – Mojave Air and Space Park as QF7474 this morning. This is expected to be the final flight for the aircraft but was the final QANTAS coded Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft flight.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEJ positioned Sydney – Los Angeles as QF7474 this afternoon completing a flypast of Sydney airport and Sydney Harbour at 1,200ft before heading south to tip the wings to preserved Boeing 747-400 at HARS Aviation Museum, the aircraft then headed out across the Pacific before diverting off the trans-Pacific route to draw a QANTAS Kangaroo with the tail over Taree.

QANTASLink B717-200 VH-NXN Returns to Service.

QANTASLink Boeing 717-231 VH-NXN, which was in storage at Adelaide from March 23rd – July 18th, returned to service this afternoon operating QF1904 Perth – Karratha. This was the aircraft’s first passenger service since March 22nd.

QANTAS B747-400ER VH-OEJ Positions for Canberra Farewell Flight.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEJ positioned Sydney – Canberra as QF6160 this morning in order to operate a 66 minute Canberra – Canberra enthusiasts farewell flight as QF747 making low passes over the Canberra CBD and routing south over the Kosciuszko. This was the final passenger carrying QANTAS Boeing 747 flight.

QANTAS B747-400ER VH-OEJ Positions for Brisbane Farewell Flight.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEJ positioned Sydney – Brisbane as QF6160 early this morning in order to operate a 70 minute Brisbane – Brisbane enthusiasts farewell flight as QF747 making low passes over the Brisbane CBD and Gold Coast. The aircraft positioned Brisbane – Sydney late in the afternoon as QF6161.

QANTAS B747-400ER VH-OEJ Sydney Farewell Flight.

QANTAS Boeing 747-438ER VH-OEJ, which has been in storage at Sydney since 27th March, operated a one hour Sydney – Sydney enthusiasts farewell flight this morning as QF747 including low level passes over Sydney Harbour.

Network Aviation F100 VH-NHM QF2912 Perth Technical Return.

Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NHM operating Perth – Paraburdoo was 30 minutes into the flight at 33,000ft early this morning when it turned back to Perth due to a technical issue. After an hour on the ground the aircraft was able to depart again and successfully completed the service.

Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NHI operated QF2894 Perth – Broome early this morning, however it did not operate the return QF2895 and instead positioned back to Perth as QF6681.

QANTAS has confirmed Boeing 747-400ER farewell flights to operate round trips from Sydney on 13th July, Brisbane on 15th July and Canberra on 17th July.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VZK operated a Perth – Ginbata Fifo sector as QF1351 this afternoon, however instead of overnighting at Ginbata following the earlier Boeing 737-800 technical issue it then returned to Perth operating the delayed QF1356 Ginbata – Perth Fifo sector.

Following the earlier technical return of QF2880 Perth – Learmonth to Perth, the delayed service was operated this afternoon by Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NHA.

Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NPU operated QF2918  Perth – Paraburdoo early this morning, however it was unable to operate the return QF2919 due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Paraburdoo – Perth as QF6683 late in the morning.

Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NHI operated QF1630 Perth – Solomon this afternoon, however the return QF1631 was cancelled due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Solomon – Perth late at night as QF6683.

Following the Boeing 717-200 technical issue at Newman yesterday, QANTASLink Boeing 717-231 VH-NXO positioned Perth – Newman as QF6200 early this morning in order to operate yesterday’s delayed QF1819 Newman – Perth.

Following the earlier Fokker 100 technial issue at Port Hedland, Network Aviation/QANTASLink Fokker 100 VH-NHK positioned Perth – Port Hedland as QF6682 this evening in order to operate the delayed QF2775 Port Hedland – Perth.

QANTAS B787-9 VH-ZNI Operates to Buenos Aires.

QANTAS Boeing 787-9 VH-ZNI operated Melbourne – Buenos Aires as QF7027 late this morning in order to be in position for a repatriation flight. A seat configuration was released into GDS systems for the service indicating that it may have been carrying passengers on the outbound sector.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPJ, which has been in storage at Avalon since ith April, positioned Avalon – Melbourne as QF6113 late this morning then returned to service operating a Melbourne – Hong Kong cargo sector as QF7003.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPE, which was in storage at Brisbane from 26th March – 13th April and has been at Sydney since 13th April, returned to service early this morning operating QF502 Sydney – Brisbane.
