QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF operating QF157 Melbourne – Auckland stopped the climb at 7,000ft late tonight due to a technical issue, circled to work checklists and burn fuel and returned to Melbourne for a safe landing. After 75 minutes on the ground at Melbourne the aircraft was able to depart again.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF QF149 Melbourne Technical Diversion.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF operating QF149 Sydney – Auckland with a two and a half hour delay was over an hour into the flight this evening when it was forced to turn back to Australia due to a technical issue. However as the flight would miss curfew at Sydney the flight diverted to Melbourne.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF, which has been under maintenance at Brisbane since October 6th, returned to service this morning operating QF97 Brisbane – Hong Kong. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 30J/267Y to 28J/269Y configuration with Panasonic IFE.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF, which has been under maintenance at Brisbane since October 6th, undertook a Brisbane – Brisbane test flight early this afternoon as QF6100.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF operating QF51 Brisbane – Singapore diverted to Batam, Indonesia this afternoon due to weather. Crew then subsequently went out of hours before the aircraft could continue.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF operating QF20 Manila – Sydney (depart Manila 3rd August) diverted via Darwin in the early hours of this morning in what appears to have been a planned operation.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF, which had been under maintenance a Singapore since 13th July and arrived back into Brisbane yesterday, returned to service this morning operating QF97 Brisbane – Hong Kong.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF operated QF23 Sydney – Bangkok today, however following yesterday’s A330-300 technical issue at Bangkok it turned around to operate yesterday’s delayed QF24 Bangkok – Sydney as QF24D.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF Shanghai Flight Swap.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF operated QF129 Sydney – Shanghai Pudong this morning, it then turned around to operate yesterday’s delayed QF130 Shanghai Pudong – Sydney as QF130D.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF Melbourne Technical Issue.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF arrived into Melbourne this morning as QF36 from Singapore, however today’s QF35 Melbourne – Singapore  and QF82 Singapore – Sydney have been delayed overnight due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF Continues to Jakarta.

Following yesterday’s diversion to Denpasar, QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF continued Denpasar – Jakarta this afternoon as QF41D. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed QF42 Jakarta – Sydney using callsign QF42D.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF Missing Yacht Search Flight.

A330-300 VH-QPF was sent on a search mission from Perth for missing 16 year old round the world yachtswoman Abby Sunderland. The yacht was missing around 2,000 miles east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. Perth has an A330-300 spare today as there is a QF67 service to Hong Kong at 22.15, therefore no scheduled services were affected. The yacht was successfully located and the QANTAS jet spent around two hours circling over the vessel to co-ordinate radio operations directing ships to the scene.

QANTAS A330-300 VH-QPF was delivered Toulouse – Singapore as QF6008 today and will continue as cargo flight QF7628 tomorrow. The aircraft is in 1984 livery, 30J/267Y configuration and is named “Port Esperence”.
