QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE operated QF677 Melbourne – Adelaide this morning, however the return QF676 was cancelled due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Adelaide – Melbourne early in the evening as QF6111.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE Sydney Test Flight.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE, which has been out of service at Sydney since 11th December, undertook a Sydney – Sydney test flight late this morning then returned to service operating QF530 Sydney – Brisbane.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE Singapore Test Flight and Return from Maintenance.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE, which has been under maintenance at Singapore since 26th July, undertook a Singapore – Singapore test flight this morning as QF6002. The aircraft then returned to service operating QF78 Singapore – Perth. The aircraft has been repainted from QANTAS 1984 into QANTAS 2016 Silver ‘Roo livery and thus skipped the 2007 New ‘Roo scheme.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE QF1100 Port Hedland Diversion.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE operating QF1100 Perth – Newman diverted to Port Hedland this afternoon. The diversion appears to have been technical as the aircraft overnighted at Port Hedland. As a result QF1101 Port Hedland – Perth was cancelled.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE Karratha Rescue Mission.

Following  the earlier QANTASLink Boeing 717-200 technical issue at Karratha, QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE positioned Perth – Karratha as QF6125 early this evening in order to operate an additional Karratha – Perth sector as QF1343 this evening. This operated in place of the cancelled QF1915.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE operated QF908 Perth – Karratha this morning, however the return QF909 was cancelled due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Karratha – Perth during the afternoon as QF6111.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE Returns from Sydney Maintenance.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE, which has been under maintenance at Sydney since January 28th, returned to service this morning operating QF504 Sydney – Brisbane. The aircraft has been reconfigured from 12J/156Y to 12J/162Y with wifi to passengers’ device IFE.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE QF843 Darwin Technical Return.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE operating QF843 Darwin – Sydney stopped the climb at 11,000 ft this afternoon due to a technical issue, circled to work checklists and then returned to Darwin for a safe landing. The flight has been delayed overnight.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE positioned Perth – Kalgoorlie this evening as QF6132  in order to operate QF1065 Kalgoorlie – Perth following the earlier technical issue encountered by sister VH-VYE.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE Operates Promotional Flights and Enters Service.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE was unveiled at Melbourne today named “Karak” and carrying “Melbourne Commonwealth Games 2006” titles. The aircraft operated promotional flights QF1352/QF1353 Melbourne – Sydney – Melbourne and then entered service as QF624 Melbourne – Brisbane.

QANTAS B737-800 VH-VYE Delivered.

QANTAS Boeing 737-838 VH-VYE commenced its delivery flight today Boeing Field – Honolulu – Nadi – Melbourne as QF6020. The aircraft in 12J/156Y configuration and QANTAS 1984 livery. This brings the QANTAS B737-800 fleet up to 26 aircraft.
