QANTAS today announced the following financial results for 2011/2012.

A total loss of $244 million after tax was posted though an underlying profit of before tax of $95 was claimed.

The industrial action, including the decision to ground the fleet, cost £194 million.

QANTAS International made a loss of $450 million whilst the joint QANTAS and JetStar Domestic networks posted a profit of $600 million. No figure was given for JetStar International operations.
