How to tell which aircraft you will be flying on.

Some aircraft types within the fleet operate in different configurations. You can tell which configuration you are scheduled to fly on as follows:

A330-200

There are two configurations of A330-200 aircraft, 27J/224Y and 28J/243Y Wifi. 

In Business Class if Row 5 only has one seat (A) then you are scheduled to fly on a 27J/224Y aircraft. If Row 5 has four seats (A/E/F/K) then you are scheduled to fly on a 28J/243Y aircraft.

In Economy Class if Row 23 has eight seats (A/B-D/E/F/G-J/K) then you are scheduled to fly on 27J/224Y aircraft. If Row 23 has four seats (A/B-J/K) then you are scheduled to fly on 28J/243Y aircraft.

A380

The A380 fleet is being reconfigured from 14F/64J/35W/371Y to 14F/70J/60W/341Y.

The main deck of these aircraft remains the same.

On the upper deck if Business Class is shown as a 2-2-2 configuration you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/64J/35W/371Y aircraft. 

On the upper deck is Business Class is shown as a 1-2-1 configuration you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/70J/60W/341Y aircraft.

On the upper deck if Premium Economy Class starts at Row 24 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/64J/35W/371Y aircraft.

On the upper deck if Premium Economy Class starts at Row 31 you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/70J/60W/341Y aircraft.

On the upper deck if there are Economy Class seats you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/64J/35W/371Y aircraft.

On the upper deck if there are no Economy Class seats you are scheduled to fly on a 14F/70J/60W/341Y aircraft.

Boeing 717-200

The QANTASLink Boeing 717-200 fleet operate in either a Two Class (Business and Economy) or an all Economy Class configuration. 

If you have a Business Class seat you are scheduled to fly on a 12J/98Y configuration aircraft.

If Economy Class starts at Row 4 you are scheduled to fly on a 12J/98Y aircraft. If Economy Class starts at Row 1 you are scheduled to fly on a 125Y aircraft.

Boeing 737-800

The Boeing 737-800 fleet all have a 12J/162Y configuration, however there are differences in the entertainment system which is either wifi to passenger’s device or an on demand seat back system. Additionally some aircraft have the newer Boeing Sky Interior.

 It is not possible to tell which sub-type you are scheduled to fly on, however International services are usually operated by aircraft with the seat back entertainment system.

Fokker 100

All Fokker 100 aircraft operate in a 100Y configuration with minor differences between three different layouts. It is not possible to tell which of the three you are scheduled to fly on ahead of boarding.
